Michael Vick: The Lynching Continues

We at NOISb are well known for our rational insight, our thoughtful introspection, our unbiased interpretation of news events, and our agenda-less conveyance of sports news.

This is not our characterization of NOISb, this is what the emails and reviews that come in tell us.

So, for those of you that expect the above, we hazard that the following entry might be something that would go in direct opposition to those descriptors.

Something in today's news actually caused us to lose our cool.

The feds are conducting a second raid of Michael Vick's property.

A dozen cars and a U-Haul truck were parked Friday on property owned by Falcons quarterback Michael Vick in what appeared to be a second federal raid of the wooded site that has been the focus of a dogfighting probe.

The government will not rest until the career of the current flagship Negro QB has been destroyed.

This point can now no longer be argued.

And, the NFL is working hand in hand with them to assure the completion of the scheme. A scheme, which undoubtedly, the Falcons have no interest in delaying: it will save them millions.

The timing of the raid is interesting. Just last week, Tank Johnson's career with the Bears was ended. Based upon his being pulled over and "charged" with a DUI. The Bears, rightfully, said they had enough. One can't begrudge the Bears for deciding the course of action they took.

The only problem was that after Johnson was successfully cut, the police decided that no crime was committed!

But the damage could not be undone. And now, Johnson and the plethora of mouths he feed, teeter on the possibility of starvation.

Clearly, the forces working so diligently to destroy the Negro QB were the same fiends tirelessly ensuring the demise of Johnson.

Johnson was a pawn in the game. A minor player. Johnson was the tackling dummy. The test case.

Now, all eyes and efforts, fully trained and exercised in sabotage can turn to bringing down Michael Vick.

The police/feds conducted an earlier raid on the property, and supposedly, came away with enough "evidence" to feel that they could build a case against him.

Now, a second raid? The speculated purpose of this raid is to turn up the bodies of buried dogs. Most interesting. They didn't turn them up in the previous raid. What a coincidence it would be to turn them up now, after having already spent significant time previously on the property. And did we mention, they didn't allow the media in eyesight of either undertaking.

We assume the AP wire releases are already written. "Dead Fighting Dogs Found On Vick's Property". They are just awaiting the feds to pull the trigger on releasing the "story".

Most troubling to us about this situation?

The fact that terrorists tried to coordinate attacks in England. And, the possibility that there is a network of foreign doctors in the US that were contemplating a similar action.

But, where is the government focusing their precious resources? They are focusing them on "uncovering" dead dogs "found" on Vick's land.

The message is clear:

America prefers terrorists to Negro QB's.

Don't kid yourself. Americans will all be kneeling and facing Mecca five times a day before another Negro QB leads his team to a Super Bowl victory.

It couldn't be more clear, as the posse chases Michael Vick with their noose.

Possibly, the first raid was just reconnoitering, amassing the type of precise intelligence that would prepare them for their second assault of Brother Vick's privacy.

In short, now they know what kind of evidence to bring to the party.

yea, that must be it.

all the dead dog carcasses and the finger prints Vick's jig relatives left on everything sure isn't enough.

As a Steeler fan who had to endure the Kordell era, I wholeheartedly agree with your statement.

Either we all pray to Allah, or there ends up a black QB winning the Super Bowl.

This development does not bode well for the Jacksonville Jaquars, a team cornering the market on African-American QBs.

I have no doubt that, any day now, Customs will storm Byron Leftwich's compound in search of illegally-imported salty snacks. Facist bastards.

First off, a correction. Where I typed "facist bastards" I of course meant "fascist bastards." Facist is the term I use for those know-nothing modelling agencies that wouldn't take me on as a client due to me being "facially challenged."

Speaking of facially challenged, I submit that Del Rio's grimace was caused by the epiphany that he's in Jacksonville. Seriously, I wouldn't let my dog live J-ville...Michael Vick's dog, sure, but not mine.

Nope....it's the jig QB's.

Is this page supposed to be sarcastic? Am I that thick that I can't tell? Or is it just the most dry delivery of sarcasm in the history of the universe?
Just in case it isn't...:
1. How the hell can you guys defend Vick on this? The dude has dog fights at his place. I'm not %100 sure that's abhorant enoough to merit prison time, but it's undeniably a crime and a pretty filthy one at that.
2. Tank Johnson got cut for a tradition of shitty behavior, not for getting pulled over. Remember he got pulled over about 15 minutes after getting out of prison for a pretty serious felony. The fact that cops didn't pursue the charges doesn't mean he's innocent, but that's irrelevant. He's an amazing player, and the Bears wouldn't have cut him unless they were fairly certain that this was who he was; a guy who couldn't stay out of trouble. I bet that was a tough decision, and as a Cleveland fan, I hope the Browns sign him ASAP!
3. The suggestion that Tank's family will now starve because he got cut from his million+ dollar a year job is so disgusting and shameful, it makes me a little ill. If you guys aren't kidding, you should really look deep down inside and consider the hateful filth you're perpetuating.
4. The dude describing black players as "jigs." is worse than you are.
5. The suggestion that a black QB leading his team to a Superbowl win being something the NFL fears is just so beyond stupid I can't fathom it. And if they were really scared of that, they would've focused their conspiracy on a good black QB, like DONOVAN MCNABB, Steve Mcnair, Vince Young, Culpep, (maybe Jamarcus Russel?). Michael Vick is about as far away from being a superbowl contender as you jackasses are from reality.
Honestly, if you guys are kidding, it's brilliant, hilarious and I'm an idiot. If you're being serious, you're doing African Americans, Islam and common decency a great disservice with your ridiculous incoherent ramblings. It's just sad...

Embarcadero Baumberg said...

Oh and by the by, you do realize a black QB has already led his squad to Superbowl victory right? His name was Doug Williams, he led the Redskins to a legendary rout of Elway's punk ass Broncos, threw 5 second quarter TDs and won Superbowl MVP.
Damn you guys are idiots! Do a little fact checking you fuckin' morons. Damn, now I'm all riled up. Forget about the fact that you guys support a hateful, racist piece of trash like Farrakan. Nor that you belong to the whoreganization that sells out great men like Muhammed Ali and Malcolm X. Nor the fact that you clearly don't know shit about sports. WHat really ticks me off is that you didn't give Dougy Doug and the Smurfs (you probably don't even recognize the reference) from that completely kick ass Redskins team their due! They earned their glory, unlike you whores, and the fact that you guys shit all over Doug Williams' legacy in the name of lunatic conspiracy nonsense is just sad...

Sir, thank you for you contribution and comments. Your depth of knowledge is overwhelming, and your insight...priceless.

Your biting criticism and your characterization of us as idiots hurts to the bone. Particularly, if you go back to our post and read this:

"Don't kid yourself. Americans will all be kneeling and facing Mecca five times a day before another Negro QB leads his team to a Super Bowl victory"

We embolden the word "another" for you. Clearly, your genius self missed it the first time you read the post. Oh wait, someone so intellectually sound as to call us "idiots" certainly couldn't have missed it.

You just didn't understand what that means.

Well, using the word "another" (as we did) doesn't simply imply that a previous Negro QB won a Super Bowl...it flat out makes it CLEAR that one already did.

Now, we'll just ignore the fact that you wasted an entire post calling us idiots and telling us how stupid we are...and got yourself riled up in the process.

All because you can't read.

Yes, sir. We are the idiots.

Class dismissed. The latest and greatest intellectual giant who chose to try to launch an attack against us is crushed under our righteous thought and logic.

And, don't bother with the comeback along the lines of "you didn't mention Williams by name"...or anything like that. NOIS referenced that it happened. The post wasn't about Williams, so there was NO reason to go into his win. There WAS reason to reference it...and NOIS did.

What about V.Y. or JaMarcus? or Byron? Why the black QB in a league where the majority are black...so is it prejudice toward the black QB and not the African American race...I don't see a campaign by the government to take down L.T. or Chad Johnson, etc...If you condone the dog fighting, I'm here to inform you SIRs, that YOU are wrong...Maybe Vick didn't participate, but it was at his property, that he had mail sent to, and he knew it was happening...This isn't a first offense for Vick...Nor was it for Tank, who I stand behind, or Pacman (since I know you'll go to that next...Another newsflash...Any team QB'd by Mike Vick isn't winning a Super Bowl flat out...Donovan McNabb, Leftwich, V.Y., yeah they could all win...But a mediocre QB like Vick is not leading any team to a Super Bowl...You ever think that your accusations of racism could actually be racism in the ridiculous way that you spout this lunacy... Now how 'bout you address the original points made...

Sir, we won't be answering any questions asked by an individual that thinks Leftwich could win it all.

We will recommend to anyone the believes Leftwich could win it all: that, if you live near a major university that has a football team, and they host one of those annual "football for housewives" seminars at which the coaching staff gives a rudimentary seminar on football to women that don't understand the game....we recommend that you attend.

Clearly, your knowledge of the game is equal to a soccer mom's.

Sorry we didn't answer your question. But, I think we can all agree...the answer would have passed you over anyway.

First of all calling this a lynching in the first place is pretty insulting.

Tank Johnson did not have his career ended (temporarily, no doubt another team signs him before his multi-million dollar salary runs low and his family goes hungry) because he was black or because he got pulled over. He had just been in jail on felony charges, were those false too? How can you say the Feds are trying to end Vick's career when they are not even inditing him on anything. America prefers terrorists to black quarterbacks? Seriously? You honestly think that is true? Last time I checked we didn't have thousands of people dieing in a war that we don't need to be in, against black Quarterbacks. Your claims are ridiculous, Vick has put himself in this situation. 69% of the players in the NFL are black and 99% of those athletes are not being investigated by the federal government. Do you think all black Quarterbacks are destined to be brought down? Why after McNabb went to a Super Bowl wouldn't the government go after him since he seems to be the closest to achieving success? Your views are twisted and wrong. And you choose to respond only to the commenters who you know will make yourself look better by responding to, this blog is as unbiased as Fox News and I have no idea who told you that was true.

nation_of_islam_sportsblog said...

"Frankly, I will no longer be reading their blogs as a result in their choice to promote you.

Sir, your dedication to your convictions is awe inspiring.

Thank you for setting an example we can all strive to emulate.

nation_of_islam_sportsblog said...

"And you choose to respond only to the commenters who you know will make yourself look better by responding to"

Sir, with that so eloquently etched in our minds...shall we proceed?

Ahem...

"First of all calling this a lynching in the first place is pretty insulting."

First of all, we admire your liberal splattering of the word "first" in this sentence.

We agree. Figuratively comparing the efforts of a group of individuals combining to use their authoritative powers to ruin the life of a single man to a "lynching" is an insult. By using non-literal avenues to convey our take on the situation, we insulted your limited intelligence.

For that, we apologize.

"Tank Johnson did not have his career ended"

We never said that Johnson had his career ended. We said he had his career with the Bears ended. If you don't mind, we'll dismiss the rest of this sentence, as your failure to accurately quote us precludes us from having any confidence that you fully integrated our point into your thought processes.

"How can you say the Feds are trying to end Vick's career when they are not even inditing him on anything. "

Sir, we offer you the opportunity to gain some righteousness from this statement.

Would you agree, that if the feds don't indict him; that this media parade would then effectively be looked upon as a farce?

(Take our offer here...really, you should)

"Last time I checked we didn't have thousands of people dieing in a war that we don't need to be in, against black Quarterbacks."

Sir, the casualties in this war only fall on one side.

"Why after McNabb went to a Super Bowl wouldn't the government go after him since he seems to be the closest to achieving success? "

McNabb has suffered an "interesting" assortment of "injuries" since he almost won the big game, hasn't he? Well, hasn't he?

"Your views are twisted and wrong."

Are they? So, there is no chance you could be wrong here?

Even tho we have just proven you are?

No chance?

"this blog is as unbiased as Fox News and I have no idea who told you that was true."

So Michael Vick being involved in a dogfighting ring isn't 10 times worse than Brady exercising the right to choose whoever he wants to do his plumbing? The black guy who is clearly a huge part of a violent, gruesome sport is being "attacked by the media" while the white guy who simply hired a particular plumbing company is "a menace to the moral fabric and ideals of our society"?

Vick has racked up a ridiculous rap sheet of terrible judgement decisions (flipping off his own crowd, trying to sneak weed in a water bottle through an airport and then lying about it later, getting herpes treatments under the alias Ron Mexico...) and he deserves all the negative media attention he brings on himself.

It's funny you try to attack Brady for "leaving a struggling actress knocked up to fend for herself and his child alone". That kid is the luckiest illegitimate child ever... his mom is a supermodel and his dad is one of the best quarterbacks ever.

"So Michael Vick being involved in a dogfighting ring isn't 10 times worse than Brady exercising the right to choose whoever he wants to do his plumbing?"

Sir, please ammend your assumptive statement.

At this point in time, an indictment isn't forthcoming; therefore, it could be contrued as unfair or biased to radically announce that Vick was "involved in" dog fighting.

We suggest you ammend your comment to read "Vick's property was involve in dog fighting".

"the white guy who simply hired a particular plumbing company "

That white "guy" chose to willfully thumb his nose at one of the foundations of the working class. The union. That is message that should resonate with anyone who punches a time clock.

"Vick has racked up a ridiculous rap sheet of terrible judgement decisions"

Sir, you mean the media has chosen to crucify him over the 3 or 4 decisions the impressionable young man made without fully thinking them through.

"luckiest illegitimate child "

We see an oxymoron there. And it must be wonderful for a child to constantly see his/her father on ESPN and on the TV and wonder: why doesn't he live with me and raise me like other kids fathers? why does he live with some brazilian chick in a bikini and spend all his time with their kids?"

Yes, the child is in a most enviable position.

Unknown said...

Ok, if my statement is assumptive, then let's step away from all the assumptions here.

Let's not assume Vick is involved in dogfighting.

Let's not assume Brady deliberately "thumbed his nose" at the union.

And let's not assume Brady's kid is gonna have a rough life or what he's gonna watch on TV or wonder about.

let's stick to the facts here..

Vick's extensive rap sheet (minus the dogfighting) and Brady hiring one plumbing company over another.

So Vick's poor decisions are all excused because he's "an impressionable young man"? He's only like 2 years younger than Brady.

I don't remember a 27-year old Brady ever being quite as troubled as this guy. What other excuses you got for him?

nation_of_islam_sportsblog said...

"
Let's not assume Brady deliberately "thumbed his nose" at the union."

Sir, fair enough.

Let's not assume it.

Let's state it.

The union sent Brady a letter alerting him to the situation. He chose to carry on with his scab hiring practices.

"And let's not assume Brady's kid is gonna have a rough life or what he's gonna watch on TV"

Sir, even a biased thinker such as yourself can't possible believe it would be an assumption to believe that young Baby brady will eventually watch its father on tv.

Please. Don't be dense.

"Vick's extensive rap sheet"

A "rap sheet" is a listing of crimes one is charged with. Please provide this so called extensive list of crimes Mr. Vick has been charged with.

"He's only like 2 years younger than Brady."

Sir, actually, Brady is about 3 years older and has won 3 super bowl rings.

Isn't fair to believe he should be setting an example? Instead, he is proliferating the horrible image of the pro athlete burdening single women with bastard children. And he is actively attempting to undermind the pay scale of the middle class in Boston.

Stop making excuses for him. Personal responsibility can not be overlooked due to his owning super bowl rings.

Unknown said...

flipping off the crowd = passion to combat their apathy

the water bottle = later cleared up and Vick admitted that he normally used it to carry his Rolex and jewelry.

herpes under and alias = you think it is a poor decision of him to take the proper preventive actions to belay an STD that is easily transmitted to partners? Are you suggesting it would be more responsible for him to carry on and spread the virus? WOW!

it's not a poor decision to get the treatment, but he had to have made a poor decision somewhere along the way for that whole thing to get out to the media. why couldn't he just hire some private doctor instead of going to a public clinic?

and oh yeah, if the water bottle was for jewelry, why did the cops say it smelled like weed when they checked it out?

The only thing stopping Michael Vick from leading his team to the Super Bowl is the fact that he insists on waging a vicious Jihad against the passer rating metric.

As for Tank Johnson, perhaps the Bears will be better off for having cut him. A report by the Sun-Times said that, while incarcerated (however unfairly), Tank supplemented his jail diet with snacks that included 162 beef sticks, 40 honey bun sweet rolls and 35 summer sausages over the course of 60 days.

I'm not a bigot; I hate all fat people equally regardless of race. Tank's dietry habits are hardly worthy of a professional athlete, and he'll probably expire by the time he turns 29.

Sir, your ability to label and cast racially insensitive terms in a derogatory fashion with no remorse whatsoever says it all.

We don't have to call you a racist.

Your words/action do it for you.

"Now they're coming after Donovan McNabb?! Shit, when will the hating stop? "

Sir, injuries.

A series of injuries after coming within a hair of a Lombardi trophy.

"Injuries".

I believe Michael will be indicted. You must remember these are the Feds and not some backwoods county prosecutor.

This isn’t over by any stretch; it's only just begun, and building, and building, and building.

There are none so blind than those who will not see.

Sir, thanks, Nick.

But, how about sticking to your expertise...critiquing the logos of minor league baseball teams...and leaving the conspiracy theories to those of us that have a deep understanding of them. Deal?

Deal!

I'm simply suggesting that your "expertise" is so outlandish and clownish that you simply can't be taken seriously. In the big world of sports blogs, you have to do something different to get noticed, and I admire your shtick. It's certainly interesting and has done wonders for your readership, I'd imagine.

Sir, if we can't be taken seriously...why do you feel compelled to try to establish the argument that we can't be taken seriously. Shouldn't it be self evident?

Seems to us, you are trying to convince yourself of this.

Which, certainly would be an indication that....you take us seriously.

As you should.

Nick said...

It is self-evident. I'm just here to get a couple of laughs for the day and to make sure that you're aware that there are people out here that know you're not black.

Maybe it's just my good deed for the day. Heck, by pointing out that this entire blog is satire, I'm probably doing the black athletes that you feverishly "defend" a favor.

Sir,while we believe you are dispicable in your insinuation; we do admire your guerilla tactics.

You have stood by and watched our blog roll through blogfrica, disseminating righteousness and steamrolling ignorance. Shedding darkness onto light as we proliferate the only righteous version of truth in the world of sports.

Dismayed at our advances, you attempt to discredit us.

You give yourself to much credit.

The only thing you've made us aware of is that you are personally mortified by our righteous discourse, and will stop at nothing to extinguish us.

We will watch you accordingly. Be assued.

Nick said...

I'm not trying to extinguish you at all. I find this blog to be refreshing satire. I truly enjoy it.

I just think, you know, you're carrying it a little too far. A little discretion goes a long way with satire. Pick your battles and I think you'd have a far more impressive body of work.

Sir, sage advice.

Sir,
This issue is not about race. It is about cruelty. It is about someone "alleged" to be so devoid of sympathy that he would order animals to be tortured (electrocted and drowned) for non-preformance in a death-fight. Please sir, do not glorify this monster and please do not minimize the severity of these actions. Here is a clear statement that Mr. Vick either perceives himself to be "above the law" or he is just a cold hearted, evil person (or, as is probably the case, a total moron).
And believe me sir, if you think there is a conspiracy to not have a black qb at the helm of a contending team, pick up the latest sport mag to see who was drafted first this year. Being a Bills fan, if the Eagles offered McNabb for Loseman do you think it would be turned down? Sadly though, I feel that no one cares about color, its just about winning (and that's probably the saddest statement here).

I guess that indictment pretty much rules out racism. I don't think the situation would be any different if Vick was white, Asian or Hispanic. You can't brutally kill dogs, no matter who you are. Maybe every word in the indictment is false but, geez, don't you think Vick would have said something, anything by now? Kobe was out proclaiming his innocent immeaditely. Vick is quiet. Vick can go to hell if it's true.

How long are brothas going to keep making excuses for the actions of a few bad apples? The man admitted to running a god-fighting circuit, that's both immoral and cruel. Couple with the fact that his dumb ass allowed for gambling on his property tells me he knew damn well what he was doing.

Let's stop coddling these irresponsible adults, and instead hold them accountable for their actions so that the rest of the world can take the black community seriously, and finally acknowledge our efforts to become productive, not destructive members of society.

If there's nothing i hate more than a spoiled rotten child, it's the parents who enable their conduct.

For all the posters who support Vick and his inhumane dealings with a living creatures which does not have a say as to whether or NOT it (the dogs), would like to fight to the DEATH.
....here we go again, another ride the black vs. white wagon (excuse)
.just another OJ deal all over again!!

The alleged crime/s by Vick...WILL FOR ALL INTENSIVE PURPOSES, be proven one way or another by the end of this week (mid August)...as he (VICK) has been offered a plea

...Now if he accepts this plea, why do you suppose he might accept such a deal if he is not quilty of torturing and killing dogs?

If in the end he is proven to be innocent, he will be able to sue for $Billions (and he will ride of into the sunset) with my blessing!
If he is proven guilty, let him pay$$$ for his cruelty, Big Time!
