Another Blow For Good Over Evil

More evidence that the devil in Durham is slowing being slain...

The top returning scorer on the Duke Devils basketball cult, Demarcus Nelson, will undergo wrist surgery and be out 6-8 weeks.

Another potential Duke starter crushed by the power of righteousness.

Praise be.

Praise be again: the hand Demarcus Nelson injured was his left. The righteous know that is the side of evil, for the righteous sit on the right side of God.

Years ago I was crushed when I received a rejection letter from Duke. Now that I've been informed that the school is the center of all evil, I feel relieved. Once again thank you, NOISB, for making me feel better about myself by illuminating the evil in others.

Sir, rejection from dook is acceptance by righteousness.

I feel bad for ballers that go to Duke.

They go there actually believeing they will further their exposure and game, and wind up a cog in the Blue Devil Machine.

You'd think these kids would get the picture by now.

Poor kids, go to a school to play basketball, and all they get is a top ten degree in the nation and a road to a healthly life. Man, that sucks.

nation_of_islam_sportsblog said...

" a road to a healthly life."

Sir, yea...ummm...because spending significant time around Coach K has proven to be the path for that....

GMB, inc said...

Would you please provide me with some examples of what you are talking about. I am referring to Duke University being one of the most prestigous institutions in the country and that by obtaining a degree from this school you can truly graze your own path. Can you give me evidence where this is not the case? Even the likes of Jay Williams, whose career was so unfortunately taken away from him, has suceeded in TV journalism.

nation_of_islam_sportsblog said...

" Even the likes of Jay Williams, whose career was so unfortunately taken away from him, has suceeded in TV journalism."

Sir, so you are contending that a DEGREE from Duke (did he actually ever graduate?) is what got him into TV journalism??

Wow.

NOI rules!!1 said...

You never gave any evidence, nois, but tried to strategically divert the debate to an attack on gmb inc's statements... nice work.

And yes, Jason Williams did graduate. Although he considered leaving duke after his Sophomore year, Coach K convinced him to stay for his junior year with a heavy workload and graduate in three years. Jason Williams, now tragically unable to compete in the NBA, considers that guidance to have led to the best decision he ever made (staying in school and completing his degree).

So not only were u wrong in your assumption that he didn't graduate, but also wrong in the statement that spending time around Coach K won't lead to a healthy life.

Now, if you would please answer the question that gmb inc directly posed on whether or not you actually had any examples, or were just talking out of your ass as usual.

nation_of_islam_sportsblog said...

Sir, I can't answer the questions until MY question is answered.

And you, not very cleverly, completely skipped over it in that drivel you spilled on my blog...

The contention is that a DEGREE from Duke led to Williams broadcasting career? Really!?

nation_of_islam_sportsblog said...

"So not only were u wrong in your assumption that he didn't graduate"

Sir, didn't a ASK if he had graduated? I didn't know...so I ASKED. How is that a wrong assumption?

You are another of the barely literate nayseers that come here to try to contradict and oppose all that is said. Yet, you don't even read what is written.

If you are going to simply argue about things, based on what you WISH we had said...rather than what we DID say, what is the point?

Start your own blog and argue with yourself.

Clearly, you are blinded by emotion and aren't even reading what is said. Couple that with your unmitigated need to try to prove NOIS wrong....and you miss the point of everything that is written.

And look foolish.

Sometimes, it's better to be seen than heard. A silent man can't lose an argument.

Silence is YOUR friend. Embrace it.

NOI rules!!1 said...

"Sir, I can't answer the questions until MY question is answered."

He posed the question first, and now you are once again trying to divert the fact that you didn't have any basis for the comment:

"" a road to a healthly life."

Sir, yea...ummm...because spending significant time around Coach K has proven to be the path for that...."

I think it's time you stop spouting out essays on the possible misuse of one word (assumption... which, by the way, when you phrase a question "did he ACTUALLY ever graduate?", it would infer that you assumed he did not), and actually man up and back up your statements.

So, for the third time, would you please divulge who exactly you had in mind with your statements, instead of simply changing the subject once again.

nation_of_islam_sportsblog said...

"(assumption... which, by the way, when you phrase a question "did he ACTUALLY ever graduate?", it would infer that you assumed he did not), and actually man up and back up your statements."

Sir, you have FURTHER misquoted us.

If the question about Williams graduating had been typed out as you have it, with emphasis on 'actually', you would be correct.

But, IT WASN'T!!!!!

We DIDN'T place any emphasis on it, we simply typed the question, "did he actually ever graduate?"...NO emphasis by us.

YOU put that there.

Again, you have done NOTHING but support our contention that you don't use logic in addressing our statements, you only use emotion. And that emotion stems from, what you have now PROVEN to be, a consuming desire to try to prove us wrong.

So much so that now you have intentionally attempted to misquote us by emphasising a word we didn't place emphasis on...in yet another pathetic attempt to argue with us over something YOU WISH we had said...

To make this long story short...your last two attempts to prove us wrong have only proven you are delusional.

It's all here. Typed out.

Yet you see things that aren't here.

You are delusional.

Were you coached by coach K? You don't seem healthy.

And your demands that we answer questions lodged by people that have proven they have no intention using what we ACTUALLY (emphasis by us) type as the basis for argument is laughable.

Show us that you can properly interpret some of the answers we have given thus far, without purposely misquoting us when you rebut, and we will try and move the conversation further along.

possible misuse of a word?

you are shit head.

you accuse nois of SAYING that williamns never graduated when all NOIS did was ASK if he had graduated?

that isn't misuse of a word. that is misuse of a brain.

you are stupid and got caught in an attempted lie.

keep steamrolling this joker, nois...every post makes him look dumber.

and neither of these two coach k nutslobberers have answered the most important question of all...the one nois asked...

clearly, one of the guys insinuated that the DEGREE from duke was the reason Jwilliams got the broadcasting gig. nois asked if you shitstains are gonna stand by that?

how bout you guys man up and answer...after all it's nois's blog...no one comes here to read what you two coach k mongers have to say...

NOI rules!!1 said...

wow, nois, i'm impressed... i didn't think you could do it.

After 3 times getting asked point blank if you had any evidence in your statements, you have once again failed to be a man and actually back them up. This time, you actually wrote more about even less (an emphasis?, come on...), only in an effort to try and prove me wrong so that you don't have to answer the question.

Go back and re-read the main point of my last comment, and then realize that you proved it exactly, better than I could ever have imagined.

I'm not expecting you to actually answer the question (you'll probably try and quibble over a comma or something), but, for the FOURTH time, what examples do you have to support your statements?

p.s. Yes, you did not emphasize the word 'actually'. However, I decided to capitalize it to show that, prior to my telling you that he did graduate, you had assumed otherwise. (if you thought he graduated you would not have asked the question in the first place)

Sir, again. You aren't even asking the right question.

You want to know what was suggested?

Quite simply, "alumns" of the Duke basketball program haven't exactly gone on to magnificent success in the NBA. Sure, you can site an example or two.

Additionally, his two prized pupils that have gone on to semi-high profile coaching jobs have shit the bed, Amaker and Snyder.

So, commence you treatment of misquoting and poor reading comprehension....I'll begin it for you:

"Hey NOIS, you said that Duke has never had anyone play in the NBA and that none of Coach K's assistants have gone on to head coaching jobs...."

Admit it, you were gonna post that.

NOI rules!!1 said...

Tripod, it appears it is now you who should be accused of illiteracy.

"you accuse nois of SAYING that williamns never graduated when all NOIS did was ASK if he had graduated?"

I never accused nois of SAYING that. I merely stated that given his posing of the question, it is clear that he had thought otherwise, for he surely would never have asked the question had he thought JW graduated.

I almost feel guilty about being right all the time.

nation_of_islam_sportsblog said...

"(if you thought he graduated you would not have asked the question in the first place) '

Sir, actually, and certainly for someone such as yourself that rejects logic and reason...If we are unsure of something, WE ASK.

If we thought he had graduated, we would not have asked. If we didn't know....we asked.

Must be hard going through life NEVER asking questions. But, it does explain a lot about your unequalled ignorance.

As for re-reading your post to somehow ascertain your main point. HA.

Your point is clear.

You have none, other than to impotently challenge everything we say.

no. you said this:

"So not only were u wrong in your assumption that he didn't graduate"

accusing nois of assuming williams didn't graduat...because nois asked if he did....

holy shit, that is some dumb logic.

so, when someone asks you a like, "is derek jeter the shortstop for the yankees", you ASSUME that means they think that jeter is NOT the shortstop for the yankees...

Now I am humored by your attempt to cover up your outlandish statements by diverting them to other issues, but you still have failed to support them sufficiently.

And one more thing, only because of how completely false it is...
