While we understand that your attempts to expand your market and fatten your pockets with even more $ are the impetus behind your Futbol Americano halftime show and the Vaqueros and Osos tags on the score screen.....but....
Don't forget over 90% of your audience speaks English, and we guarantee you didn't give most of them a warm fuzzy. And if the on hand crowd in the stadiums response to the Futbol Americano halftime show is any indicator. It was less than well received.
Hey, we're just saying........

unfortunately, corporate america is what is going to end up causes the eventual absolute and complete division of this country...
causes=causing
Yeah, I didn't really understand why they did that. Whatever their reasons, it wasn't subtle. Maybe their tie-in was the latino fellow with a cowboy hat, saying "Go Cowboys".

" The nation’s minority population reached 100.7 million, according to the national and state estimates by race, Hispanic origin, sex and age released today by the U.S. Census Bureau. A year ago, the minority population totaled 98.3 million. About one in three U.S. residents is a minority,” said Census Bureau Director Louis Kincannon. “To put this into perspective, there are more minorities in this country today than there were people in the United States in 1910. In fact, the minority population in the U.S. is larger than the total population of all but 11 countries.” . . .
"Hispanic remained the largest minority group, with 44.3 million on July 1, 2006 — 14.8 percent of the total population. Black was the second-largest minority group, totaling 40.2 million in 2006. They were followed by Asian (14.9 million), American Indian and Alaska Native (4.5 million), and Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander (1 million). The population of non-Hispanic whites who indicated no other race totaled 198.7 million in 2006."
"Hispanics accounted for almost half (1.4 million) of the national population growth of 2.9 million between July 1, 2005, and July 1, 2006.
California had the largest Hispanic population of any state as of July 1, 2006 (13.1 million), followed by Texas (8.4 million) and Florida (3.6 million). Texas had the largest numerical increase between 2005 and 2006 (305,000), with California (283,000) and Florida (161,000) following. In New Mexico, Hispanics comprised the highest proportion of the total population (44 percent), with California and Texas (36 percent each) next in line.
The Hispanic population in 2006 was much younger, with a median age of 27.4 compared with the population as a whole at 36.4. About a third of the Hispanic population was younger than 18, compared with one-fourth of the total population."

Priceless.

yea those numbers are great....but how many spanish speakers are watching the game?
and why ruin it for the 95% of the audience WATCHING the game that ISN'T spanish speaking?
so, what you are saying is that, if we want to watch football in the future, the Majority of the country that DOESN'T speak spanish...now has to learn it? since obviously corporate america has decided that the way to go is to force the rest of us to change our culture to whatever the majority of immigrants' culture is?
Priceless.
yes, i also find it hard to belive that white Americans have to be "forced" into exposure to cultures and people different from their own.
and, actually, your sense is pretty common

yeah, you're right...the expectation that people that come to this country learn the language is just repressive and racist.
white people who don't speak spanish should be forced to learn spanish...god forbid the PEOPLE THAT MOVE HERE be indoctrinated into AMERICAN culture, right? it should definately be the other way around....
what the hell does seeing the names of NFL teams in SPANISH or seeing a latino halftime show have to do with CULTURE any way???...there was NOTHING culturally relevent of instructive about it....so just kill that noise.
you're right, my sense is common. but your ignorance isn't.
chingen su madre!
"chingen su madre!"
