Our second new feature for College football season will be to scour the stat sheets and find the highest performing white running back each week.
This week, the vaunted Mountain West was the hotbed for white backs as both the winner and runner up hailed from the the great state of Colorado.
Air Force's Kip McCarthy took the honors this week as he ran roughshod over HBCU South Carolina St - a program which year in and year out has proven to be the 4th best in the state of South Carolina.
McCarthy logged 129 yards on 22 carries and a TD as he led the Falcons to a big opening day upset of the Bulldogs.
Runner up Kyle Bell of Colorado State rushed 40 times for 135 yards and a TD as the Rams fell short to in state rival Colorado.
*After going over the national stats for rushing, we a have a feeling you will be reading a lot more about these two every week in the new NOIS feature: White 'College RB' of the week!*
