C. Vivian Stringer: The Autobiography

Some folks gave Rutgers' basketball coach Vivian Stringer some heat and criticised her for "grandstanding", recruiting and taking a "holier than thou" posture during the news conference addressing Imus' comments.

Well, apparently the country became enthralled and infatuated with the coach. And a book deal is now on the table.

"It's about an incredible woman with an extraordinary life story," said Tina Constable, executive vice president for publicity at Crown, who declined to say how much the company will pay Stringer. "She's a pioneer, a legend, an icon and a role model."

And for some reason, it took a disasterous comment by a shock-jock for us to realize this.

Sir, I can only hope that this will be eventually developed into a movie. I am unsure which character the righteous Samuel Jackson will play, but whichever one, it will be an oscar worthy performance.

Sir, we are sure that he will be the center on the basketball team.

I wonder if Vivian Stringer will insisit that all of the editors and ghostwrtiers for her book be black just like all of the starters on her basketball teams over the years. Maybe Coach Stringer will allow a couple of cute white girls to sit around and watch while she and her black editors work on the book just like her runs her basketball team.

It is great that Coach Stringer has signed a book deal, but this is not her first biography, "This is a Game Ladies" was a great documentary made about the coach many years ago.

Sir, it's the first since she cashed in...we mean...was effected by the Imus statement.

This Negress is a pilar of strength. To have such a vicious attack from the fake cowboy honkey cracker Imus and to cash in......I mean to pull through with her dignety is such a great story for are young Negro youth.

Sir, we have no problem with her cashing in. What is undignified about it? If a publishing company came to her, why not accept the check?

The fairest resolution would be to give her Imus' airtime.

Notorious N.O.I.S.B.

Should her biography be "This is a Ladies of Color Game" because Coach Stringer would never recruit a white high school all-american even if would guarantee her first NCAA championship.

Sir, the parameter on your question nullifies our ability to answer.

A white player guaranteeing an NCdubA title?

Is there an Easter bunny, too? And Santa?

We have a good imagination, but that is just too much...or, wait...was that a joke?!?!?

Sir, I do not believe Christian Laettner has any eligibility left.
