Victory: Intelligent Activism Yields Results

We have received many, many emails from readers. Most, intelligent communiques agreeing with our enlightened outlook and praising our teaching methodology.

Some, diatribically venomous ad hominem attacks voicing no real point of view; other than the writer is angry that the world is changing rapidly and he/she is being left behind.

We generally aren't the type to pat ourselves on the back and devote time to pointing out every instance in which our activism leads to change.

But, we feel this time is important enough to lend some attention.

Our regular readers will recall last weeks sermonical presentation on the racist tendencies exhibited by a Sports Illustrated football writer. In his weekly column, the writer gives out a "Good Guy of the Week" award. All winners this season had been white.

We believed that it was time to take a stance against the writer, and we put together a well received expose on the writer's pattern.

Brothers and Sisters, the response of Mr. Peter King overwhelmingly substantiates our findings.

This morning, in his 'column', Mr. King anointed a new 'Good Guy of the Week'.

Lo and behold, after our public outcry against his award practices which thus far had repetitively excluded Negroes from being crowned as 'good guys'; Mr. King coronated Brian Dawkins as his 'Good Guy of the Week'.

Certainly, no one can argue that Dawkins deserves the award. He did something to help someone or donated some time to a charity or helped kids or some such endeavor. What he did is not of consequence.

It is the recognition of a Negro player as a 'good guy' that matters.

We applaud Mr. King for tapping out under the pressure administered by our previous literary choke hold. And caving to the concentrated demands of our movement.

Now that the precedent has been set, we anticipate a run of Negro players winning this coveted award.

In related news:

Last week we also ran a piece illustrating that Ronnie Brown was one of the most efficient QB's in football and that he was best suited to be the starting QB for the Dolphins.

Seems Mr. King has jumped on that bandwagon as well.

The best thing for Miami is how adept Brown is at taking snaps and using play-fakes and even throwing the ball.

Indeed.

King even went so far as to name Miami Quarterback Coach, David Lee, his Coach of the Week for the work he has done implementing this package centered around Ronnie Brown assuming the role of Negro QB.

While we must admit there is certainly going to be a lingering issue in King's blatant attempt to credit the white coach with the success of the new Quarterback; we must agree with the sentiment of King's statement.

Clearly, in naming the Quarterback Coach the coach of the week for his work with Brown, King is anointing Brown the Quarterback of the Dolphins.

We made that point over a week ago, but it is fulfilling to see the mainstream media agree that Ronnie Brown is one of the best Negro-QB's in the NFL.

Yes, we can change!

Sirs,

Where is the honky medias vilification of Brandon Backe?! Where are the calls for a suspension? Where are the references to the people he grew up around, and how his parents raised him? Where are the demands for a public apology to the children who look up to him as a role model?

Oh wait.

There will be none. He's not a Negro. Racist America shows its ugly head again.

Peter King is a moron.

that was dumb of king.

by naming a black guy for the award right after he gets an email about not naming black guys, it makes him look like he really was avoiding naming one.

Did I get this right? The methodology used in accusing King of racism: a test sample of…four picks.

Four?

And no analysis of the number of black players who would qualify, and who would have received enough publicity for their good works to be known to King.

You have a decent little working theory going here, but...

Four picks. No analysis. Just trash a man’s reputation in the 21st century equivalent of calling a man a “communist” in the 1950s?

Sir,

You're at the wrong blog if you're looking for logical coherence. We decide what's Righteous Reasoning and what isn't. Mmmkay?

No "Sir" it is NOT OK.

Peter King is a good CHRISTIAN gentleman. You people are...what? Angry Anti-Americans!

Our apologies Sir, would you prefer We refer to you as "Ma'am"?

Your use of "you people" shows your ignorance and racism.

Please stop embarrassing yourself.

"And no analysis of the number of black players who would qualify, and who would have received enough publicity for their good works to be known to King. "

Sir...where to begin?

First, an analysis of the number of black players who would qualify?
This is most difficult, as up until the pick of Dawkins, the only qualification that King required was that the player was...white.

Second, "who would have received enough publicity for their good works to be known to King"? Hmmm. King has the cell phone numbers and is personal friends with EVERY player in the NFL. Publicity? Not necessary. King is like the NFL's very own Santa Claus. He knows who's been bad and good! For instance, he picked Mark Bruener for his work helping the neighbors on his block clean their yards after Hurricane Ike.

Our corporate NOIS offices are in the same development as Brueners home. We see him at the local hamburger grill frequently. And, there was not even LOCAL publicity about all Brueners good work helping his neighbors (possibly because we were ALL doing the same); yet King was aware.

"Just trash a man’s reputation in the 21st century equivalent of calling a man a “communist” in the 1950s?"

Sir, we didn't 'trash' anyone's reputation.

We simply pointed out that King received an email pointing out that he only picked white guys for his good guy award.

And then he picked a black.

Make your OWN conclusion you modern day Joseph McCarthy.

Sir, what is it exactly that makes King a 'good CHRISTIAN'?

His use of his football column to sit in judgement of who is good and who isn't?

Judging others certainly doesn't sound very 'CHRISTIAN'.

We aren't angry.

We aren't Anti-American.

In fact, in light of the fact that America is about to elect or first Negro Emperor, we are quite happy and quite PRO-(African-) American.

God (as in Allah) Bless the USA!

Sirs,

My condolences that you are forced to see that honkey on a regular basis. In fact, my condolences to anyone who is forced to see any honkey with any regularity.

Sir, with the impending coronation of Halfrican Brother Obama, we can all rest assured that there will be at least ONE less honkey we will have to see with regularity.

We Christians judge based on the Good Book. You "people" judge based the Bad Book aka Koran.

Save yourself. And leave Peter King alone. While he tends to repeat conventional wisdom, at least it is CHRISTIAN conventional wisdom.

“Sir,”

You must demonstrate that, over an acceptable sample period, Mr. King COULD have chosen X (NOT Malcolm) number of black players, but did not. Perhaps there are always a greater number of white players meeting the criteria than black. If so, your claim is lacking.

“And, there was not even LOCAL publicity about all Brueners good work helping his neighbors”

Google “Mark Bruener Hurricane Ike” and be educated. Save yourself.

“Sir, we didn't 'trash' anyone's reputation.”

Of course not. And Joseph McCarthy was just inquiring as to whether certain Americans were in fact Communist traitors. McCarthyism 1950 = “Communist!” McCarthyism 2008 = “Racist!”

Peter King is a proper CHRISTIAN gentleman. While he may be making the one true CHRISTIAN God angry with his shallow analysis, unreliable predictions, and apparent gluttony, he is no “racist.” It is common knowledge that he counts one Stuart Scott among his most cordial professional acquaintances.

Sir, certainly you make a valid point.

There are a greater number of white players that are white, than there are Negro players that are white.

Good point about players meeting the 'criteria'.

" McCarthyism 1950 = “Communist!” McCarthyism 2008 = “Racist!”

Sir, agreed.

And that is exactly why we called you a modern day Joseph McCarthy.

Glad you agree.

"It is common knowledge that he counts one Stuart Scott among his most cordial professional acquaintances."

Sir, Mr. Scott's independent eye displeases Allah.

Evenmoreso than his friendship with King.

Ah, but I called you one first. See, we're only slow on the field!

CHRISTIANS like Mr. King celebrate the gritty, plucky intangibles and off-the-field qualities that some athletes demonstrate, but not all. While Brian Dawkins is certainly gritty, his pluck has always been in question. I fear Mr. King was pressured into filling a quota.

Which part is inaccurate, the "you" or the "people"?

Sirs, if we must be technical about it, Half-Righteous Half-African Half-Brother Obama is also half-honkey...and, sadly, half of him would in fact be required to be seen with regularity. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin.

Sir, we left you in the dust long ago.

As soon as you typed your first letter of your first post....
