We have been focusing our efforts on monitoring and helping provide a smooth transition towards freedom for the masses of the Nation.
As the outgoing regime packs its bags and watches its coffers begin to deplete due to a mass exodus of upper class and big business backing; your humble servants at NOIS have been delighted with Potentate-elect Obama's movement towards re-establishing the prosperity of the Clinton administration. Not only have many (all?) of the key players of those days of high cotton and full plates been restored to their rightful roles inside the beltway, but an even more delicious prospect of change looms on the dark horizon.
Obama promised us change that we could believe in, and what better change than resurrecting the good fortunes of the Clinton Era? The appointment of Hillary to Secretary of State should certainly bring back the international good will and respect that Bush so predictably mismanaged. And, the appointment of Hillary could provide the most delicious aspect of the entire Obama administration:
The return of Bill.
Hillary's vacated seat will allow for an appointee to serve the remainder of her term. Who better to represent the good people of New York than William Jefferson Clinton?
Imagine! Hillary in full control of the Nation's foreign affairs, while at the same time Bill becomes a heavy hitter in the Senate...leading the domestic agenda!
Ahhh....change. How glorious!
In keeping with the theme of change, we were caught off guard by the abrupt resignation of Mississippi State's Negro Head Football Coach, Sylvester Croom.
Croom was a virtual miracle worker in Starkville. Given the reigns to a public university in a state in which the education system is measured on the Richter Scale, to be able to field a team at all was an accomplishment. And, to be able to recruit student-athletes from outside the borders of the traditional slave state was a coup as well.
Croom's critics will point to his won-loss record and decry the altitude of the number in the won column. Certainly, if Mississippi State were a 'normalized' university in a 'normalized' state, referencing Croom's winning percentage when evaluating the performance of his program would be fair. But, as the descriptive name of the university tells us, Mississippi State is the land grant university of the State of Mississippi.
The prospects of a Negro Head Coach, who runs a clean program in the State of Mississippi, certainly cannot be compared fairly to....say, a former MSU white head coach who trampled NCAA rules as if they were a Negro at the white folks drinking fountain.
So, so much for the experiment of change in the State of Mississippi. So much for giving the Negro Coach the leeway necessary to make the changes needed to win. So much for understanding that it takes time to change. That winning is a culture, and culture can't be changed in....oh, let's say 4 years.
It's back to the status quo.
Maybe if Croom understood that from day one, maybe he would have surrounded himself with the old guard. Maybe he would have protected himself.
And maybe we could have called that change.

Vindication: A Truly Righteous Mandate
Since the righteous, holy and necessary initiation of this blog, we have received countless emails of abuse. Emails demanding that we not point out the racial injustice inherent in sports. Emails subversively and unintelligently pretending that we were the source of racism in sports. Emails haplessly and helplessly constructed in impotent attempts to refute our truths.
Well, kind readers and voracious sports fans...this evening fully establishes the necessity, usefulness and secure future of the movement that established this blog.
This evening also is vindication of, and mandate for, the truths we have unveiled and revealed.
Today, with the election of President Barack Obama, the states of this Union almost unanimously (we can't be bothered to count those backward Red states south of the Mason Dixon) united in a simultaneous and spontaneous pronouncement that:
America believes race is the most pressing issue in our lives.
The election of a Negro Potentate is confirmation from and by the citizens of this Nation that they demand that racial issues be the center of all that we discuss and all that we do. That ending racism and elevating the status of each and every Negro victim of the African Diaspora is the issue held most dear to every voting American in this Nation.
You want proof? Ask any Negro why they voted for Obama. Next, assume that anyone who didn't vote for Obama did not vote for him because he is Negro. There. There is your proof that race is the center point of every vote. That this was not so much a presidential election, but rather a referendum on race.
Additionally, the free voting populace of this Nation affirmed their approval of the Righteous moral mentor of the newly coronated Potentate, the good Rev. Jeremiah Wright.
The Nation voted overwhelming in support of Wright's 20 years of influence over the thought and moral compass of the Potentate. Most sensible political analysts would continue this to mean that the Nation has justly voiced their collective approval for Wright's teachings. That the Nation hopes to move collectively along the moral and spiritual path set by Wright.
The referendum on race confirmed that not only do Negroes hate rich white people, but that most rich white people hate rich white people as well.
Further agreed upon through the voting process was that that Nation fully supports reparations. The potentate calls it 'spreading the wealth', redistribution of wealth and (years ago) he called it reparative economics. It's reparations. And it's long overdue.
To quote the sister who became famous on YouTube after an Obama rally, 'If I have trouble putting gas in my car or paying my mortgage, He is going to help me.'
From your mouth to Allah's ears, Sister.
Finally, we at NOIS believe this election was a mandate.
A mandate for NOIS. A confirmation that the Nation supports Negro leadership, the views of Rev. Wright and reparations. A mandate cast through the power of vote. Mostly through the power of white voters. Voters who, when they pulled that lever to admit that the needed a Negro leader, vindicated every word ever written on NOIS.
Therefore, good readers, the real winner of the 2008 Presidential Election is.............NOIS.
This election was about NOIS from the first debate during the primaries right up to the NOIS surrounding McCain's concession speech.
Now, if the Titans would just give the team back to Vince Young, we'd be on our way to a better, more Negro America.

MMA: Future Rests On Kimbo?
According to Yahoo Sports columnist, Dan Wetzel, the future of MMA may rest on the broad shoulders of Kimbo Slice. Not to mention, the future of the EliteXC organization.
Well, other than the very existence of the promotion he fights for – the struggling EliteXC. Not to mention the short-term future of mixed martial arts on broadcast television, since CBS could pull the plug.
Wetzel goes on to speculate that a Slice loss would be the end of his drawing power, and the end of EliteXC.
While it’s unlikely EliteXC, or any other league, can ever mount a serious challenge to the UFC’s immense popularity and market share, the possibility is non-existent if Kimbo loses.
The hopes and dreams of investors are pinned on the lovable street urchin from Miami.
Slice was plucked from the realm of backyard brawls and parking lot scrapes. His notoriety was gained through a marketing scheme based on YouTube exposure and personality for days.
EliteXC came along and saw not just a magnetic and charismatic Negro male; but dollar signs. Cha-ching!
Deep in debt, the organization formulated a plan to exploit the following that Slice had built himself through his gorilla marketing campaign on YouTube.
And now, unable to sign or find any white fighters who can draw like Slice can, the company and the mainstream media are already preparing to blame Slice should the endeavor fail.
The trouble is, if Kimbo were to lose Saturday, there may not be a company on Monday – the promise of future ratings and pay-per-view buys gone if his famed ferocity is debunked.
Kimbo slice has taken on an untenable situation. The entire future of MMA on broadcast television rests in the power of his punches. As does the future of his employers.
Much has been made that Slice has fought 'has beens' and 'never was's'. That his skills and mastery of the various martial arts lack the technical maturity and precision of top notch fighters.
Even his vaunted punching power – fearsome in boat yards and back alleys – isn’t much by big-time MMA standards.
Then, why pin all hopes on Slice? Why put forth Slice as the deliverer to the promised land?
It's simple.
Slice is to EliteXC as Barack Obama is to the Presidential election.
Inexperienced and untested. And an easy mark when things go bad.
And, their situations are virtual mirror images. Thrust into virtually unwinable situations. If Obama wins, the country is in such disarray, that he can't be successful. Eventually, as ALL MMA fighters do, Slice will lose.
And, as Negro males, they will both be tarred and feathered and then lynched by the media. As if they CHOSE this destiny of forced failure.
Obama didn't choose to have the media draft him as the savior of this nation. Watch how the media turns after he wins and the white robber barons of Wall Street and bitter white Republicans on the Hill ensure that our economy sinks to new lows in an effort to cement an American future in which a Negro is never given the chance to so much as seriously run for President again.
And watch the great fighter, Slice, ride away into 'bolivian' after he is finally vanquished in the cage.
Both replete in the knowledge that they gave it their best.
Obama, secure in the cash from all the books you bought.
And, Slice. Secure in the cash he got from his Nike endorsements.
And the government and EliteXC bankrupt.
Don't hate the player, hate the game.
Cha-Ching.

Off Topic: Invading Jesse Jackson's Privacy
By now you have heard.
Certainly the white, mainstream media is rejoicing in the tawdry reporting of what amounts to gossip. 'News' outlets are unequivocally revealing that they are little more than OK! or People magazine; replete in the delight that reporting on the private conversation of Jesse Jackson brings them.
Bill O'Reilly chose to figuratively rape and pillage Rev. Jackson's privacy by running tape gathered through the use of a hidden microphone. It was a devious endeavor, clearly engineered with the support of American intelligence agents. Jackson, unaware that a hidden microphone was engaged --a microphone deviously hidden in plain sight-- was lured into a discussion by a fellow guest. A guest, we might add, who may or may not have been compliant in the unlikely scheme.
Jackson was lured into making derogatory comments insinuating that he would be a proponent of the eunichization of presumptive Presidential election winner Barack Obama.
After becoming aware of the entraptive sting, Jackson issued a formal and genuine apology. An apology that was accepted wholly and with no question asked by Obama.
This should have been the end of the story. If Obama realized the whole thing was a set up and wearily dismissed this mainstream media attempt to fractionalize Negro voters; then why continue with the story?
Obviously, the opportunity to once again entrap Rev. Jackson and possibly take his comments out of context --we will never know the real context, as these tapes may have not been edited-- and ignite a negative media campaign against Rev. Jackson is too difficult a firestorm for the few rational heads in the news business to fan out.
The whole thing is a replay of the ancient 'Hymietown' incident. That fiasco involved remarks Jackson made in confidence to a reporter; never knowing that his feelings about Jews would be reported by the mainstream media!
Perhaps the most unfortunate turn of events in all this is the response of Jackson's own son.
Jackson's comments sparked something of a family feud. His son, Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., said he was disappointed by his father's "reckless statements."
"His divisive and demeaning comments about the presumptive Democratic nominee — and I believe the next president of the United States — contradict his inspiring and courageous career," the younger Jackson said.
It is heartbreaking to see Jackson the younger play into the hands of the mainstream media with his remarks.
Clearly, white America is no longer simply happy trying to destroy Jackson's reputation.
Now, the mission is to destroy his familial relations.
For all the damage being attempted, we are proud to acknowledge that Obama did not take the bait.
Clearly, this is yet another example of his ability to rise above the fray and retain his dignity in the face of controversy. Proving his mettle and fitness for his ordained position as head of the free world.
We are left to wonder:
Just how would John McCain handle a situation in which a possibly un-ordained minister directed malicious intentions toward his dangling manhood?
Obama '08.
Jesse can't castrate!

Boston Celtics: A Tale of Two Battles
Beantown.
Bahston.
A city that loves its sports teams. A city that loves itself.
But, also a city stigmatized for generations by the perception that it is not Negro friendly. Which, for any large urban environment in the 21st century is certainly out of the ordinary.
Rich in basketball tradition, the Boston Celtics built a dynasty through the leadership of a short, bald white coach riding the back of a tall, athletic Negro center. A thoroughbred doing most of the work. A little jockey getting all the credit.
The next Boston Celtic run was led by a brilliant Negro coach. He used his brilliant strategies, basketball knowledge and motivation techniques to somehow coax greatness out of some tall, gangly white fellows with little athleticism and even less tenacity. His run, turning these players into recognizable talents, was perhaps the greatest coaching job in NBA history.
And now, Boston makes another run. With a ten man rotation made entirely of Original cagers. And a tactical field general of the Zulu Nation calling the shots. Certainly, this is not what your average Bostonian has in mind when he envisions the Celtics.
Nonetheless, without the advantage of having the best player on the court. Without the benefit of having a tall, ambiguously Euro-femme Caucazoid to appease the 'fans'. The Celtics' general has outmaneuvered the Lakers' egocentric coach.
As the series returns to Boston with the Celts leading 3-2, victory on the court seems all but asured. But these Celtics have banded together to try for another victory.
A victory over the stigmatism of representing Boston fans, while being a Negro.
Certainly, it can't be easy night after night to take the court in the Garden. Knowing that while the fans cheer for your Green uniform, they detest your Negro skin. That while they stand and applaud your baskets. They loath your speech and values. That while the front of your jersey reads Boston, they'd prefer you lived elsewhere.
It's a two bladed razor upon which these valorous Celtics walk.
Not only must the players somehow fight on knowing the fans love the Celtics, but hate Negroes...they must also somehow justify representing the Celtics' fans to the Negro community.
No amount of money could ever alleviate the pain that these players must endure. Branded by the sinister 'shamrock', these men are paraded like animals night after night in front of the Boston fans. And then shipped off for trips, forced to fight for the honor of Boston elsewhere.
Clearly, it is love for each other and love for the game which spurs this Boston team to great heights. Bonded together by the on-court combat. Listening to the coach during time outs as he highlights the battle plan. And seeing the two pale roster quotas in suits at the end of the bench. No, money could never spark the fire required to light this flame.
Pride. Unity. And righteousness. Those are what this is about. The opportunity to win a championship. To hoist a trophy.
And to set themselves free from the oppression enacted upon them by the ghosts of Red Auerbach and the Boston sports fans.
So, Boston fans, remember this:
When the Celtics win the championship, they will have beaten you. The franchise will claim that this is the 17th title in their history. But that is wrong.
This is not Boston's title.
This, much like Obama's victory over Hillary, is one step closer to equality and absolute freedom for Negro America.
This title is Negro America's first.
This title is symbolic of the change being brought by Obama.
This title is the emancipation of the Negro athlete from the shackled existence provided by the apartheid like environment of Boston.
And, the MVP of this championship is the inevitable president, Barack Obama.
His victory over the political machinations of White America supplied the impetus for this Celtic victory over the White Boston Sports Fan.
Every cheer for the Celtics, is a vote for Obama!

If The Candidate Were A Coach...
College football and presidential politics. Two arenas filled with corruption, empty promises, high hopes, dirty money and politicians.
What if the Obama, Hillary and McCain were college football coaches?
Who would they be?
Half-rican American Barack Obama is the presidential equivalent of former Notre Dame (current U Dub) coach Tyrone Willingham.
Obama burst onto the scene as a man with a vision of renewed hope and dignity. He didn't have a truly measurable track record, but he had a commanding, polished and regal presence that has allowed for a predominantly white electorate to get over their deeply rooted desire to reject him based solely on his fraternally bestowed Negro-ness. Upper middle class and well educated whites have welcomed him with open arms. Coronating him the savior of American politics and warmly wrapping themselves in the comfort of the communication of his positive vision. But, as soon as he mis-steps or doesn't meet the incredibly high standards that will be expected of him; the clamor for his leaving office will be deafening. There will be no margin for error in his term. And, after he is run off, whomever is chosen as his white successor will be given a mandate of a minimum of two terms. Despite the strong possibility that there will be no discernible difference in performance at the time of the mandate. And, certainly, any early success gained by the successor will be attributed to the successor's 'genius'; Obama's contributions will quickly be discounted and he will be labelled as shiftless and lazy.
Hillary Clinton is Nick Saban.
Somehow, Hillary is able to convince herself that what comes out of her mouth is honest and true. Her moral character allows her to easily reshape reality to her personal needs, and her mind believes it. Whether it be NAFTA, snipers or health care; she doesn't bat an eye or hesitate to give the politically expedient and personally beneficial answer or comment. Regardless of what historical documentation of the event says actually happened. In normal life, that is called lying. In college football or politics, that is the ability to spin or sell your program. Hillary's other great talent is to look at the rules, and rather than find ways to comply with them (ie, party tenants for the number of delegates required to win the candidacy and party decisions for states that broke rules), she looks for loopholes in the language that allow her to attempt to gain an advantage over others. Hillary runs an authoritarian regime, emasculating those around her and rarely looks pleased or happy. Such is the life of one who sees every interaction as a power struggle.
John McCain is Mike Price.
Mike Price took a woeful Wazzou program and turned it into a winner. A little older than the average 'hot coach', Price seemed to be earning the chance at a plumb coaching job later in life than many coaches. Given the keys to the storied Alabama program, it turned out that Price simply wasn't a good fit for the 'party'. His 'philosophy' didn't quite match that of his constituents or the other 'party' power brokers. He ended up never coaching a game for the Tide and is now back to having some success in a smaller program with a less 'conservative' philosophy out in the Southwest.
Politicians and college football coaches.
What's the difference?
What if the Obama, Hillary and McCain were college football coaches?
Who would they be?

A little older than the average 'hot coach', Price seemed to be earning the chance at a plumb coaching job later in life than many coaches. Given the keys to the storied Alabama program, it turned out that Price simply wasn't a good fit for the 'party'. His 'philosophy' didn't quite match that of his constituents or the other 'party' power brokers. He ended up never coaching a game for the Tide and is now back to having some success in a smaller program with a less 'conservative' philosophy out in the Southwest.
Politicians and college football coaches.
What's the difference?

A Favor, please...
We'd ask that if you are of righteous thought and took the time to come to this blog....
please visit this link.
Scroll down and vote for NOIS.
The link is to an inconsequential blog promoting a 'suckiest' blog contest.
We'd like to ensure that their sampling is skewered and that the righteously 'unsucky' NOIS blog makes it to the Finals.
We thank you in advance for your support of this educational project.

ESPN: Why do they hate Obama?
ESPN SportsGuy Bill Simmons had arranged to have Half-Brother Senator Barack Obama on his podcast last Friday.
For some reason, the WWL pulled the plug.
"At the last minute, network executives killed a podcast with the senator that was scheduled for Friday with host Bill Simmons. "
Certainly, some of our lesser evolved readers will question why ESPN would provide a platform for politics. At face value, that seems like a fair question.
ESPN had both Kerry and Bush on their network last go round, so clearly the precedence has been set. Additionally, the Half Brother was a bit of a playground hoops legend growing up; so a sports connection is not out of the realm of interest.
"Griped one source, "They landed the hottest politician in 50 years, and they couldn't even see the interview through? This is insanity."
Yes, the wasted opportunity does beg some unavoidable questions. Motive?
"It's of interest that ESPN president George Bodenheimer has supported Republican Sen. John McCain's presidential bid with a donation of $1,000."
Ahhhh. Indeed.
Of course, ESPN had a quick answer for this.
"But ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz told us: "It's absolutely not an issue about any one candidate. Our position is that when they're down to the final two candidates, we'll look for options to interview each accordingly. Fans don't expect political coverage on our air."
So, when ESPN can focus more on McCain, they will provide coverage. Additionally, if fans don't expect political coverage on the WWL....why provide it?
This is an alarming development. ESPN has made it's fortune marketing itself on the backs of the Negro athlete. The most recognizeable personalities on both the network and the website are Negro (Stu, Steven A., Scoop). Clearly, this shunning of Half-Brother Barry sends a signal as to the true interests of the network.
Perhaps the most disheartening revelation in all this:
"It's not the first time the sports network has canceled an appearance by the Democratic front-runner. According to a campaign source, a television interview set up with host Stu Scott was canceled by higher-ups as well. "
That's right. An ESPN higher up deprived us of the chance to witness history. A chance to be a part of an unprecedented event.
We can only wait and see. But we have a suspicion that ESPN won't interfere with a Rece Davis - John McCain interview.
Cancelling on Obama once might be taken simply as a meaningless event. Cancelling a second time is clearly a slap in the face directed as a full frontal assault on not only the Campaign for Change, but, on all of Negro America. A double pronged attacked, finding its mark on both Obama and Scott. A clear indication that ESPN does not condone a Negro Presidential candidate. And a clearer indication that ESPN will not allow Scott to expand his broadcasting credentials, possibly out of fear that he will leave the network behind and take his talents on into the broader news broadcasting spectrum.
One day, maybe not in our lifetime...but one day, we will see a Negro sportscaster conduct a political interview with a Negro Presidential candidate on a sports network.
Yes, we can change.

The NOIS Message Extends Beyond Sports
Just wanted to take a quick moment to allow our cherished readers the opportunity to understand just how far reaching the NOIS movement that they support truly is.
The influence of our righteous teachings is taking on the look of an undeniable grass roots movement. While we have chosen our vessel of outreach to be that of sports to conduct our mission; clearly others have been reading our message and are now confident in using their celebrity to reach audiences even beyond our own formidable voice.
To wit: Alicia Keys.
Alicia Keys, 27, said she's read several Black Panther autobiographies and wears a gold AK-47 pendant around her neck "to symbolize strength, power and killing 'em dead.
While we aren't 'Black Panthers', we do undestand that a misinformed, mainstream AP wire writer can make an error. And while this is a blog, in a way, it is an autobiography of the NOIS movement.
We don't advocate violence of physicality, but we do condone the appreciable symbolism of Keys' AK-47. We advocate violently attacking the intellectual status quo and institutionalized closed mindedness that attempts to shackle our brilliance and artistry. A brilliance and artistry shared and appreciated by Keys.
"`Gangsta rap' was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other. `Gangsta rap' didn't exist."
Think about this statement.
Certainly, it falls in line with much of what we profess here at NOIS. That the mainstream media is but a weapon aimed at the Negro by the establishment. The Negro is sighted in, the trigger is pulled...and center mass is often hit squarely. The damage has been great and the casualties have been many. But, all in all, though much blood has been lost, the soul of the Negro has not been extinguished.
And, as long as artist-philosophers like Keys are able to get the message out, the movement survives.
"the bicoastal feud between slain rappers Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G. was fueled "by the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing.""
Indeed. What better way for the establishment to rid itself of great Negro minds than to turn them on each other. To pour kerosene on the fire. To ensure that these young up and coming leaders of the Negro community felt disrespected and threatened by each other. And, to ensure that weapons were readily available to them on the streets.
And, out of the poetry of the streets. Out of the attentive and sensitive stories told about the plight of the American Negro in the American ghetto. Out of the emotion. Out of the heartbreak. Out of the shame. Out of the sunshine. Out of the rain. Gangsta Rap!
Thrust onto us by the media. A term used to shackle the underclass. A descriptor meant to wholly castrate the message of the artist. Meant to take attention away from the poetry and the message of the struggle for self betterment and unity.
Our government built monuments in this country. Monuments designed to commemorate the horrid treatment of a group of people in Europe. They called it a 'holocaust'. People were tattooed with ID numbers. Labelled. Identified as different, and systematically they were processed for destruction. And the world remembers them and vows not to allow it to happen again. To happen anywhere.
But it is happening. Alicia Keys sees it happening. She sees a generation of people labelled and lined up for destruction. And she speaks out. Loudly.
Two potentially great leaders. Gunned down in their primes. Labelled as victims of their own creation. But gangsta rap wasn't their creation. It was created for them. It was created to terminate them.
It didn't exist. It doesn't exist. It can't exist.
Reality is what exists. And gangsta rap isn't reality. It is a made up term designed with a two fold purpose:
i. to contrive a criminal association in the minds of society between the poverty and the struggle that the artists communicate and the artist himself. By demonizing the artistic movement, the mainstream media effectively demonized the artist. Turning poets into inmates. And turning poverty and lack of opportunity into crime.
ii. to saddle the artists with what would become unmanageable personas. Treat a man like an animal. Tell him he is an animal. And he will become an animal. Or criminal. Then lock him up.
As Keys clearly insinuates, the mainstream would have us all believe that Negro poets are violent and carry weapons. But, Keys cleverly turns the tables on this: She has her AK pendent. But it doesn't symbolize the crime or violence the mainstream has forced on the movement. Her AK symbolizes her mind!
Certainly, a powerful mind is something that threatens White America.
And, certainly, a Negro with a powerful mind is something that the mainstream media makes sure sounds foreign to White America:
"Keys' AK-47 jewelry came as a surprise to her [white] mother, who is quoted as telling Blender: "She wears what? That doesn't sound like Alicia."
Yet another instance of proof positive that White America has no interest in understanding the Negro.
But the day will come.
For, we believe, Alicia Keys' mother can change.

Kevin Garnett: Preparing for Life After Hoops
The fame and fortune of the 'franchise' professional athlete is rivaled by few professions. The fans and adoration. The money and special treatment. The notoriety and love. All given freely to the 'franchise' athlete.
But, what if it were taken away? What if, as a Negro, the highly paid athlete found himself stripped of his earnings. His mansion and vehicles taken away. The special consideration and treatment no longer lavished upon him. What if the powers that be that run the plantation and grant the athlete these things decided they no longer could stand the Negro athlete's success and fortune? What if?
Certainly, living in these forcibly United States, we are all aware of horror stories of wealthy and adored Negro athletes losing it all at the capricious (some might say sadistic) whim of those living in the 'big house'.
The notion of a wealthy, Negro athlete waking up one day to find his fame and fortune gone is not so far fetched. We have even recently seen examples of such athletes waking up to not only find their careers snatched from their grips, but they have even found this practice taken a step further: to incarceration. (see the tragic tale of Michael Vick's career snatching).
So, how does an athlete prepare to support himself and his family when the inevitable happens?
Certainly there are many ways. But, perhaps, Kevin Garnett has the safest, most effective way to ensure future employment:
"I'm probably the best at cleaning," he said. "I'm probably one of the cleanest people you've met in your life. I take a lot of pride in that. I know how to vacuum, I know how to mop, clean the kitchen, clean the dishes. I'm cold at that."
Clearly, Garnett lives his dream life with an eye towards reality. As a Negro in these forcibly United States, Garnett knows that he is living on borrowed time. He knows that at any moment he might get a knock on his door from agents of the government to tell him to leave with them because he is guilty.
He knows that when that day comes, all that will be left to ensure his subsistence will be to clean up after the dirty devil that layed in wait to take it all away.
But, as we contemplate what the future holds for this generation of wealthy Negro athlete...and as we contemplate when the agents of evil will attempt to take back what these Negroes have earned:
We must remember the righteous words:
Cleanliness is next to Godliness.
And, lo though the Negro athlete may be held in cells or handed a cleaning mop; only the most Blessed and most close to the Righteous Power on High could ever clean up the mess that the white devil has made of these forcibly United States.
Yes, we can change.

Roger Clemens: Congressional Probe
Initially, we were greatly surprised to read that Congress has decided that they are unsure of the veracity of Roger Clemens presentation before them a few weeks ago. In response, Congress has decided to look more deeply into the issue and has asked Justice to investigate Clemens for possibly lying under oath.
Certainly, we would have expected Congressional outrage and media vilification of Clemens; at least on the level that the Home Run King received.
To this point, it didn't seem forthcoming.
So, obviously, it was a bit surprising to see Congress attempting to pass out equal treatment to the pitcher (read: caucasoid).
Until sitting in front of the Congressional committee, Clemens flew relatively below the radar on the steroid screen. Sure, since day one his name had been mentioned. But, everyone wanted to wait for hard evidence and actual incriminating testimony from third parties/friends before 'indicting' him. Taking testimony from 'mistresses' with agendas and drug dealers facing charges were only satisfactory when 'indicting' the Home Run King.
How did this game change? How is Clemens now being held accountable? Why?
Is it because of the media spotlight outlets like NOIS have been shining on Clemens for long months now? Though most readers would certainly give some credence to that theory, we believe the change in direction by both the legislature and the media is attributable to another factor.
Half-Brother Barack Obama.
As Obama has captured the heart and soul of this nation, both the media and Congress realize that they are in a position to have to fall in line with what this country will stand for and what this country wants.
Congress realizes that Obama in the White House is an inevitable conclusion. The media realizes this. And America wants this.
Certainly, with a Half-Brother as the chief executor of the nation, a focus of both the legislative branch of government and the fourth estate will be on equality and fair treatment of all. It is in that interest that Congress has now decided that they can no longer allow Clemens to roam freely in the face of virtually indisputable evidence showing he sat in front of them and lied to their faces.
A tremendous Hispanic player did that to them, and he was run out of the game of baseball.
It is now time to send Roger Clemens to the gallows. To run him out of the sport and to further make an example out of him by incarcerating him for his perjurious utterings before elected and treasured leaders.
Fairness in treatment on this level would not be possible had not Barack Obama taken flight on his majestic journey to lead a shackled nation to freedom. The government and press had been content to devalue, dethrone and destroy the Home Run King. But Obama's presence and his inevitable role as guide in change has manifested a renewed understanding of what 'justice for all' truly means.
So, realize, as baseball (and all sports) seek to provide the nation with a clean and honest product of interest and diversion; realize that it would not be possible had not a young half-original man not had the spirit and faith to follow his dream to free his country through change.
Yes, we can change!
And getting the pitcher (see above for definition) out of baseball is the first major step.

Our Readers.....
Occasionally, we are in receipt of an email so gloriously informative that we must share it with all of you:
NOIS-
You and your African ape decedents keep on supporting Obama and getting those guilty feeling liberal whites to vote for him, too. You are playing into our hands.
True Americans and intelligent people that understand that the diminishing of white bloodlines is ruining America and the world are waiting anxiously hopin for Obama to win this election.
You people are too dense to see what is happening. Once Obama wins, he will most likely be assassinated. That will spark rioting from blacks. Essentially, it will bring about the race war this country needs to right itself and purge the welfare roles and prisons of your lazy, criminal brothers and sisters and resume our role as a world leader that can be respected. The curse our ancestors brought on us today by bringing the apes over as slaves will finally be eradicated.
A vote for Obama is a vote for a White America.
Keep supporting him!
There you have it. It's not often that we are speechless.....

Caught In The Game
Again, indulge us, as this may not be sports related (but, politics certainly is a game of strategy); but is important nonetheless.

That's the picture that has caused a bit of a commotion. Fairly innocuous. Certainly less than unusual for a dignitary of one nation to engage in some hospitable interaction with the locals of another. Generally speaking: Nothing to see here. Move along.
But, the timing of the release of the photo is what is most interesting. And the brilliance of the timing is what is most illuminating.
The Clintons have yet again been burned at their own device.
On Sunday, the all knowing and all enlightening Minister Louis Farrakhan graced his kind words and sharp oratory in a favorable description of the vision of Obama. Certainly, the 'endorsement' of a man seen as a threat by much of upper middle class and upper class America (read: white) would provide the conservative element of our nation the chance to ignite divisive and unfounded fears from sea to shining sea.
What is a candidate to do in such a situation? You don't want to reject the glorious words of the Minister. But at the same time, you do have to smooth out the fears that will be aroused by opposition as they play into the carefully crafted and tainted negative image the media has (for years) constructed of the Minister.
We'd suggest that releasing a photo that plays into other fears would do the trick. And it would allow the opportunity to blame your opponent and positively spin things for yourself. And, of course, it would bump the Minister's words from the headlines. Relegating the negative response to those words to the Rush Limbaugh's of the world who have no sway with the independent, middle ground voters.
Underestimated.

That is the word that best characterises Half-Brother Obama, his advisors and their campaign.
Clinton was supposed to be the crafty, battle hardened veteran. Her advisors were supposed to be the brass knuckle wearing wrecking squad that would make minced meat out of the Half-Brother.
Seems someone walked unknowingly into a well set trap.

The Most Important Endorsement
As the make or break day for the Democratic Party's process of picking a presidential candidate approaches; Half-Brother Barack Obama may have gotten the endorsement that will cement the deal.
Conspicuously waiting until the most important point in the campaign, the wise and gracious Louis Farrakhan has finally allowed us his insight on the race for the 'White' House.
"This young man is the hope of the entire world that America will change and be made better," Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said Sunday, per the AP's write-up. "This young man is capturing audiences of black and brown and red and yellow*. If you look at Barack Obama's audiences and look at the effect of his words, those people are being transformed."
(* notice, no mention of that colorless illusion that we, out of necessity, refer to as 'white')
And, perhaps the greatest complimentary analogy we have ever seen did follow:
Farrakhan compared Obama to the religion's founder, Fard Muhammad, who also had a white mother and black father.
"A black man with a white mother became a savior to us," he told the crowd of mostly followers. "A black man with a white mother could turn out to be one who can lift America from her fall."
Farrakhan clearly giving a nod to the Nation of Islam Sportsblog's comment to an argumentative and confused reader in a previous thread:
"Obama comes from the womb of a "white devil"...he is as black as christmas snow....you are a sucker, but what else is new. I would think Obama would scare you..he calls for change..and the last thing your people have demonstrated is the desire to change." - argumentative and confused commenter
Sir, there is a brutality in your language which is inspiring. As for growing in a white woman's womb...we find no fault in the Negro Elder Obama finding whatever fertile field could house his seed. Certainly, as is the case with most white woman...the chance to carry the off spring of a Negro was her deepest desire. Here, Here for the birther of Obama achieving her dream. And, Here, Here for Brother Obama achieving the lifetime dream of the African Diaspora. To be crowned king of the country which destroyed a continent....priceless. - NOIS
Certainly, this speech from Minister Farrakhan is the sort of endorsement that Half-Brother Obama has anxiously been awaiting to push his campaign beyond reproach. And, more certainly, his campaign organizers are atwitter at the prospect that the media will be highly publicising this.
We do believe we hear the fat lady warming her vocal chords.

Broncos' Terrell: Politically Active WR
Read a recent blurb on how Broncos' receiver, David Terrell read Barack Obama's book and was moved to become active in support of the presidential candidate.
"Terrell's involvement to date has been to create a "Free Mind for Obama" T-shirt line and spread the word through a group of athletes and entertainers."
While we applaud Terrell's efforts and his initiative; it does make us wonder. Why are other NFL wide receivers not doing the same?
Terrell is a solid player, but certainly is not high profile. He seems intelligent enough, backing Obama. That seems to provide evidence that the man is awash in common sense. But, we are hesitant to believe he brings enough star power to the table.
In that light, we are initiating a campaign to draft high profile receivers into political activity.
If Terrell can come up with a T-shirt line to spread the message, imagine what others would develop. Clearly, the time is right and there is public support (more pointedly....demand) for the politically active WR. This seems like a normal evolution of the sport and the position.
We have watched Hollywood diva's and hunky actors expand their world of influence to include politics and foreign policy issues. Terrell's action shows us that the time is now ripe for the sharp, popular and common sensical young Negro WR of the NFL to mobilize.
The common feeling is that with more money, more power and more celebrity: there is more responsibility.
We have reached a point in both sport and politics that it is now just plain irresponsible for folks like Randy, TO and Chad Johnson not to be at the forefront of political activity. Their fame and fortune has been achieved through commitment and hard work. Common sense and intelligence. And rational understanding of people and events. It has also been achieved through the public accepting and being behind them.
It's time for Randy, TO and CJ to pay the public back. It's time for them to not only be leaders in the press and on the field; but, leaders at the polling station.
We anxiously await the day we see TO on C-SPAN, Randy on "Meet the Press" and CJ on the dias at a White House news conference.
As the fans who have put them on a pedestal and anxiously followed every move the press has reported on them: We deserve it.
Nay, we are owed it.
