Yahoo Sports' Dan Wetzel ran a column yesterday detailing a press conference held by the one and only UFC light heavyweight champion of the world, Rampage Jackson.
The column detailed some of Rampage's history, shedding light on a few of the things that have formed the man who today is on the verge of becoming the face of the UFC.
Perhaps the most interesting tidbit of information:
“I’m not fighting so more black people get into fighting. Black people can do whatever they want. White people can do whatever they want to do."
Clearly, while Mr. Jackson's intention may not be to pave the way for a Negro dominated UFC; one can't help but believe that, in time, it will.
Particularly when more Negroes become aware of just why Mr. Jackson so loves MMA.
“Because I can beat up white people and not get in trouble.”
Sounds like it is time for a Sean Jean or FUBU line of MMA sportswear!
It's only a matter of time before countless other Brothers find the same joy that Mr. Jackson has discovered!
